The irony of a business plan

I'm curious on your thoughts about creating a plan prematurely.

Do you think a plan is futile if you know nothing about real estate? I write this doing extensive RE work/research in the last 2 months, and FINALLY finding out what my goals, strategy, and exit plans will be.

Does this make sense? I hope this will find newbies and keep them from rushing into a plan before they know what they are ACTUALLY doing.

in other words, your plans will change as you encounter adversity. Maybe a skeleton is a better way to go about learning. I had a plan when I first started 10 years ago, not a day goes by that I don't want to lock me of 10 years ago in a room for a week to feed him everything I know now.
