Tax Implications of LLC holding companies in operating S-Corp

CPAs and others, LLC if you have assets to protect. Don't hold property in a corporation. BUUUT - What about the multi-entity model of an operating corp with SMLLC holding companies? Does the transfer of an LLC with property as an asset trigger the same tax liability?
