Can I use my current IRA to invest in a multi family that would be a 2 person partnership? If so are there any recommendations for someone to tak to about my options and how to approach this adventure?

Yes it is possible for your IRA to become a partner in multi-family real estate investment. But first you must establish self-directed IRA

Also you want to make sure that the partner is not a "disqualified person" to your IRA, which would disqualify your IRA and cause severe penalties.
