Tax Strategist/ CPA needed

Levi Giafaglione
Posted

I am an investor living in southern California.  I own a duplex in Ohio and some land lots around the country.  I need help with taxes and getting the most out of the tax code, including educating me on how to write off travel fare to my units.

@Levi Giafaglione

You want to plan your travel accordingly.

If you plan it property, the air flight, hotel, certain meals and certain local travel(Uber / Taxi) can become deductible.

Be mindful that Ohio is a very unique state because many localities have their own separate filing obligations.

I.E. If you have a rental property in Cleveland, you may be required to file a Cleveland Locality tax Return.

This would result in having to file a Federal return, California return, Ohio return and Cleveland return.
Not many tax professionals know about this requirement.

best of luck to you in your search
