Accessing 401K for Real Estate Investing

Hi Everybody,

I have 188k in a 401K from a previous employer and I want to access this money for real estate investing and of course without penalties or extra taxes. I have read a lot about using a solo 401K. Is this the best way to access it? What are the benefits and what are the risks? What would you do?
