How to Set Up Notifications To Make the Most of the BP Forums!

I thought I'd take a minute and remind folks to fiddle with their email and notifications settings to make the most of these forums. I did this the other day and it got me sucked right back into the forums discussion (which is what I wanted of course) and I've learned a ton in the past few days, just by getting the appropriate amount of reminders.

To update your notifications, hover over your picture/profile icon in the top right of your screen and go to "settings".

Then, click on "notifications" and update your settings - here's how I did mine:

This setup sends me a LOT of emails - but only if I am actively posting, and I like seeing the "votes" notifications come in as soon as they are received in particular. It will also of course send me much fewer emails if I stop posting as much.

I want to be notified when a human being mentions me, votes on my post, messages me, or connects with me INSTANTLY - like a text message. And, I want to be notified of the discussion going on in the forums I follow daily, but not throughout the day, so that I'm not overwhelmed.

You can update these settings anytime.

I also went through and updated my keywords. "Denver" was getting mentioned too frequently, so I consolidated that to "Denver" and "House Hack" to get more targeted with conversations that I care about and feel I can add value to.

I hope this helps and hope that you are enjoying the forums!
