How do I get my Real Estate Team together?

Posted

In start-up stages of my real estate business. I have read the "Ultimate Guide for Beginners" and Guide on "How to Rent Your Property" both by BiggerPockets . Love the guides and it was the best place to start and to keep referencing when starting out but I still have a few unanswered questions.

Please advise on:

Where do I need to start building my investment team if I plan on buy and hold property for passive income out of the state I live in? (example I live in NYC and plan to purchase investment property in the south).

At what point should I form an LLC and should I do it myself or have an attorney/company do it?

Thank you in advance for your advice.

Dana N.

I am assuming your team meaning real estate agent, handyman, accountant, etc? I would start developing them right away. there are sources everywhere on how to do that.

You *can* do an LLC yourself. I know the forms are not that complicated in Ohio but I can't speak to your area. Even if you had a lawyer help you with the first one, you can use that a template for any future LLC's you need to create.
