If I buy property under a company, and self-manage. Then buy another property...

If I as a company 1 buy property and self-manage by having a team to manage the property. Then buy another property under a different name, company 2, but is managed but the same team as Company 1. 

1. Would I need to get a property management license? 

2. Would this depend on property type or real estate (Residential vs Commercial)?
