Canadian looking to Invest in the US

Hi All, I am an aspiring real estate investor based out of Vancouver, Canada. Currently, I don't have any RE investment but looking to have it in the U.S. market (Cleveland/Columbus). Meanwhile, I am doing RE education through whatever free source I am able to find but I don't have the confidence to do my first deal on my own. I'm looking for a coach/mentor who can guide me through the process and do a bit of hand-holding while I'm doing my first deal. Does anyone have any referrals for the same? Any suggestions on how I need to proceed?

Are there any Canadians who have invested in the U.S.? Can someone also share CPA and lawyer referrals who work with Canadians? I would like to understand how to structure my investments from tax PoV. I am also looking to connect with fellow Canadians to learn about their RE journey.

Thanks in advance!!

Hey Amit,  I'm also from the Vancouver Area. I'm a current Detroit Investor with several single family houses where we have used a turnkey company to find, purchase, rehab the houses. they have rented them out and continue to property management them for us. I've been through a fair bit of learning from tax considerations  (forming an entity) registering with the city. I've used a cross border tax specialist who understands both side of the border.

I also have a portfolio of Ontario properties so im happy to give you my take on CDA vs US investing. Feel free to message me if you want to connect.
