Starting out - looking to learn and make connections

Ronan McCall
Posted

Hello Everyone,

My name is Ronan McCall, I recently graduated from Merrimack College with a degree in Business administration with a concentration in Finance and Investments. I am interested to learn more about buy and hold/house hacking strategies on SFR and small to large multi families to start my real estate journey. I have come to the sobering realization since moving out of my parents house that if want to achieve a life of financial freedom I'll need to do more outside of my 9-5 job. If anyone knows of some seminars or real estate clubs/associations in the Boston area I'd love to attend these events to meet fellow investors to gain knowledge and to see if I can provide value to them while getting some hands on experience.

Hi Ronan, Awesome to hear you are interested in getting started in REI. I am south of Boston and invest in MA, RI, and FL. Biggerpockets was/Is a tremendous help for me when first starting out and researching everything. Network events have also been great for me. I still today try to go to at least one a week. Get to events, make connections and absorb as much information from others by just listening! Take one educated step at a time be consistent and you'll hit goals! Meetup.com and eventbrite great places to search events.
