Getting started as a college student
I'm an incoming Freshman at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and am seeking advice on how to get started real estate investing. I picked up "The Book on Real Estate Investing" by Brandon Turner and have been reading that to get some general info on investment strategies. I plan on "house hacking" a potential condo or small house since I'll be moving off campus next year and am hoping to get some insight on finding neighborhoods to invest in with a good ROI, finding a realtor to help me through this process, and any other landlording tips that could be helpful.

Go get a job in the industry. Property manager, maintence, real estate agent, ect. This way you'll get hands on experience and know how the industry works. Otherwise, you may get blindsided. Also, I wouldn't trust your college friends to pay rent lol.
Idk, maybe you're group of friends is responsible.
