FHA duplex rental
We probably have a private investor who is going to help my son in purchasing his first home. If that doesn't happen, he was going to try to buy a duplex with FHA financing.
the tentative plan is to buy the home FHA and rent out only one unit, The other unit my son [who is disabled, but I believe will one day be independent] will stay in the other unit [ with a family member[a couple of days a month. If this is what we do, how long before it is alright for LJ to rent out both units in the rental?
