Hello to ALL,

I take possession of my first multifamily property today. It is a duplex with an additional basement unit, making it a triplex.  What are my next steps in dealing with the tennants, making small repairs etc. Any advice would be appreciated.

Clint

Congrats! Clint,

Have your system in place for you managing the units.

If you haven't yet make sure your basement rental is legal.

Do a repair inspection on each unit with tenants there, let them play a part.

Go over your contracts and system with tenants get them over to yours. Raise rents.

This will get you started if you need any hard copy let me know be happy to email.
