What would be the difference between a bird dog and a wholesaler?

 bird dogging is a job/function rather than a form of investing. They can make their money by referring the properties they find to investors, or taking the next steps which would be contacting the owners, following up with them, writing a contract once the lead is qualified and if accepted use whatever strategy ; wholesale the contract, flip the property, buy and hold it.
