Starting out, and thinking property management

Hi all, I am interested in getting into the real estate industry,  and I am posting today with a simple request for feedback on my current plan of action.

I am planning on attending a real estate school for my salesperson license.  From there I intend to find full time work as a property manager with an apartment complex.  To be honest,  I don't plan on getting into investing for a few years,  until I've gotten several years of stable income and savings. But once I have been working for a year as a leasing agent, I would then start looking into other aspects of investing,  such as buying and selling.

With this career path  in mind,  does it make sense to go to school?  I think it does,  but it seems like there are ways of getting into the business without obtaining a license,  which I wasn't aware of.  Are Kaplan or Lumbleau good schools online?  They look great to me, I'm thinking of starting with one of them possibly as soon as this month.

So to conclude my posting,  I would just like to ask any seasoned experts,  if you think this would sound like a good plan to follow,  or if you have any advice that I might need. And also,  thanks for reading and have a pleasant day.  :)
