Blizzard = Easy Driving for Dollars

Driving for dollars (driving around looking for possible deals) is a great way to find distressed and vacant properties. This method can help you find leads on properties that may be coming on the market soon or find properties that owners may be trying to off load off market. Usually you look for bad landscaping/overgrown lawn, notices on door, ect. Well for those in the northeast, the blizzard has mad it easier. Just driving in my town, not looking for these signs, I stumbled on two properties that I will not look into. Just look for the properties that have not shoveled the snow from their steps and/or driveway. From there, do you research threw your county assessor office and find out the owner and status of the property. Good luck!
