Newbie Investor Seeking Guidance

Hello all! This is my very first post and I am very excited to have discovered Bigger Pockets. It truly is a godsend!

I am a newbie just getting started in real estate investing and learning the basics of how it all works. I am wondering, what are some of the first steps I need to take in getting started and organized? I have been told on various occasions that the key is just getting out there and networking, and building your buyer's and seller's list. But I also need more insight and knowledge as to how deals are structured, how to calculate ARV, bringing in and building relationships with buyers, sellers, and contractors, etc. Basically, I need to learn the entire process from start to finish.

All suggestions and advice are welcome, and I am also open to meeting with any investors here in the Atlanta area who would be willing to sit down with me.

Thanks so much in advance everyone!

Check out the Free Course under the education tab that course has a broad overview of the REI process. Hope this helps.
