How to begin REI when you're overwhelmed???

Hello all,

I'm fairly new to this site and very new to REI in general. I'm interested in in starting some investments, but I'm having cold feet about it. I've been listening to pod casts here on biggerpockets and reading articles and books. I'm starting to get overwhelmed with all the info and would like to know how you guys overcame this and how you started in REI? I feel I need to know everything about it before I get started, and the more knowledge I get the more I seem to need. My biggest concern is what do I need to have in place before I start investing? BTW, I would like to invest in miltifamily rentals. Since I'm going to have to be a landlord, I'm very nervous about what I need to know and what forms I need, etc. Any and all experiences that you could share would be really welcome! I'm very excited to get started, but also a bit nervous too....Thanks in advance to all that reply!
