Finance and partnership to start out in MA

if one has a good friend that is in the contracting business, able to do a lot of the renovations himself. what kind of partnership proposal would entice someone like that to maybe provide renovation at a very low cost? that way I save $ and he makes some $ simultaneously. Just thinking about maximizing partnership and making it more feasible for a first investment project without a lot of cash.
