My name is Ken I'm out here in Brooklyn NY and I really want to start investing in real-estate in my area. My main focus right now is wholesaling and multi family rentals an would appreciate any reading you could suggest or just personal advice. I don't have any real estate experience so I'll like to be pointed in the right direction. I'd even like to meet if any of you are on my area! Thanks in advance

Good evening Ken,

Always good to see a fellow New Yorker getting involved in Real Estate!

I would check out some of the books in the BP bookstore- theres a book on investing with little or no money down as well as a rental property investing book. I would also check out the free e-book for beginners.

Aside from those suggestions, I would also check out Gary Keller's book The millionaire real estate investor. Its a comprehensive book covering pretty much all you need to know including how to shift your mentality and focus to achieve great things in this business.

Read anything that will help you in real estate, business and life! I've taken some time to read a few things that have helped me shift my way of thinking and achieve greater results than I thought possible. That shift in thinking has helped me as much as any business/REI book I've picked up.

Lastly, stay active on BP. Listen to the podcasts on your commute, read the blogs and keep us updated on your progress/ask us questions using these forum posts.

Best of luck to you!

-Abel
