Where to start with real estate license

I am currently saving for a down payment, which I believe shoud take no longer than 6 months.  I have just about completed the coursework for the real estate exam.  My goal was to get the my RE license on the side while saving for a down payment.  I hope that the license will increase my knowledge and be useful once I am able to invest. Where should I start with this license? Should I look into full-time work in real estate or use it as little as possible and maximize my time at my current job in healthcare (making around 50K/yr) .  How about property management? Which areas will give me the best on-the-job learning to be a future RE investor?
