Should I invest in real estate?

So I have been considering real estate for sometime. I live in a military area where people buy sell and rent all the time and I enjoy the idea of a passive income. I want to be able to hustle my way to more money creating more time to actually pursue other goals. After watching many videos and doing much searching I'm wondering just how passive it is. I know every job has certain levels of stress and variables that effect its passiveness, but I'm if I'm constantly stressing over tenants, mortgages, banks etc how passive is it? Is it possible or plausible to use real estate investing starting with no money, experience, or credit to become passively wealthy in order to pursue other ventures? Any feedback and advice would be great. Thanks in advance.
