Question about my first rental unit.....

So, been looking to buying my first rental unit. My intent is to rent it for 2-3 years and then sell. Is it ok to file for a loan from a bank, if I can get 3 times that renting it a month? Or is there a better method to get the money for the house a different way?

Any info will help!! Thanks!
