@Brandon McBride find the discussions that peak your curiosity the most and read what people have to say.  Side note, take everything you read with a grain of salt and always do your own due diligence.  But, you can get a lot of knowledge from just reading the forums and blogs on BP.  Then once you feel ready, you can also actively participate in those forum discussions.  You'll end up meeting great people by being active and therefore grow your network.
