Houston and surrounding areas - Real Estate investment properties

I'm looking to invest in a property to rent. Houston is so large and I'm having a hard time narrowing down an area. Any suggestions where to start?

My criteria for the purchase is:

1. Property purchase under 200K

2. Rent for $1200-$1500

@Farida Hussain Not a good target area in my opinion.  There are 18 active rentals, not one has leased in the last 30 days, rent rates start at $1650 and the lowest priced listing on the market is 209k. There are also 67 active listings for sale and tax rates are much higher than other areas of Katy.
