Market Research - demographics

I'm new to real estate investing. I just got my license as an agent in Iowa, and I want my niche to be investors - I want to be the go to guy in Iowa for representing new as well as experienced investors. I need to understand demographics and psychographics, but I'm not sure where to start finding this information. I'm looking for all types of advice.
