I live and work abroad but I want to get into real estate in US

Posted

Hello everyone!

I am new to deeper pockets but I have been listening to the podcast for a while! So here is my situation, and if there is already a thread with an answer/suggestion to this please link it in the reply. I graduated from college, got a job abroad in Asia, and now am staying and working in Asia 9 or so months out of the year. I don't own any property in the US as I left for Asia straight out of college. I would like to get into the real estate game and potentially own a rental property in the future. But as someone who is only back in America for about 2-3 months in a year, it is hard to see how to really start with this. So what are some suggestions on how to start when I don't have a lot of time in the states to actually be present with a property? Where do I begin?

Thanks for the feedback and looking forward to learning!
