Should I get a real estate license? I want to flip houses

Hi! Should I get a real estate broker's license? I want to flip houses and may even go with franchise to do that.  By way of background I am a corporate refugee who has been laid off for the 3rd time since 2008 due to business restructuring or M&A. I've been out for over a year now despite looking daily 5-6 days a week. I will keep looking but it's time move away from the concept of career to the concept of making money.

@Linda D. Yes get your license. You will earn commission on houses that you buy off the mls. You will have to pay for commission when selling too. Either you’ll be paying yourself on the sale or you can opt to not earn a commission which will make it cheaper on the sell side too.
