I know the basics of what an LLC is used for, but I had some clients today asking what the major benefits I've seen so far with investors using an LLC. What can you say about having your investment properties under an LLC versus not using one at all. Just looking for any additional information I can provide to newer investors.
Not a CPA but my understanding is: LLC's reduce the liability an investor has. Another is for tax purposes if they are doing a lot of business a good CPA might roll the LLC into an S-Corp to help with the self-employment tax at year-end.
