Looking to invest in Mississippi

How's it going everyone? So, I'm a 26 y/o male currently looking to invest in MS. This will be my first time investing, but I'm determined that my hard earned money will be invested in real estate. I currently live here in Mississippi and don't think I'll leave anytime soon. What advice do you have for me? I need it! Also, is there any meetup / networking opportunities around the Jackson, MS area? Thanks!
