First Timer in Corpus Christi, TX

Hi Everyone!

I am extremely green in the RE Field and have come off about 4 to 5 different seminars of quickflips/wholesaling. I am in the South Texas Area and notice that there is property that could potentially be beneficial for reaching some of my goals with this venture. I'd like to attempt my first deal within the next 3 to 6 months, I know I need alot of work/help but I am eager to soak up as much information and learn more about what is offered in my area and then take that to do some deals in other counties/states once I am viced.

If anyone would like to share, some of the questions I have are:
What steps did you take in beginning of your Wholesale route? Are there any local CC groups or meetings in the area that others can come together for help or just to discuss potentially deals? Did you already have an investor lined up locally or out of state? How do you find investors? What struggles did you encounter? Did you start with a mentor or just jump right in? Once established in these deals did that income provide a baseline to become an investor?

Those are just my base line questions, I'm sure once the ball starts rolling I'll have plenty more but any feed back you could give, I would really appreciate!

Thank you!

My recommendation is to stop spending time at seminars and build relationships with active investors who can give you snippets of good advice so you can get moving. Relationships will get you to your goals much faster than seminars. It isn't easy but it will change your life. It just depends on what you're willing to give up to make that happen.
