I'm new to investing and I have some knowledge of the industry, I listen to all the podcasts and read quite a few books, but no real life experience yet. I have a friend that has quite a bit of equity in his house and he wants to start investing with me. I have been talking to him about utilizing his equity as startup capitol. We want to talk to an attorney and set up everything under contract to keep ourselves accountable and outline each others responsibilities. Where would you recommend we start? We are still looking at a few strategies, will this matter in how we structure our partnership? I guess hearing some real life stories or examples would be helpful! thanks in advance!
