First Time Investor- Need Advice

Hi All- I am newbie to Real Estate world ,looking for some suggestions to invest as first homebuyer. I currently live in Birmingham, Alabama and can manage around 10-20% down payment. I’ve been doing research lately about real estate market down here in BHAM but really don’t know where to start.

For newbie like me, I think it would make more sense to start with single Family properties. My initial plan is start up as passive investor and if everything goes all, might switch to become active investor.

Any advice/ suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Welcome to the site Nick. 1st thing you'll want to do is checkout The Ultimate Guide to Grading Birmingham Alabama Neighborhoods.
