Vacant Lot, need ideas to generate income

3 years following BiggerPockets “from the shadows” and decided 2019 is the year of taking action.

I created my profile earlier but haven’t posted anything, mainly because I didn’t think I have anything useful to contribute.

Right now , I’m a month away of closing on my first property ever!

A duplex that has 1 unit currently being rented out and the 2nd unit conveniently vacant for a perfect house hacking opportunity.

The reason for my post is because with the duplex comes a vacant lot of land, kind of like a 2 for 1 deal.

I’m reaching you to my BiggerPocket community and their infinite wisdom on what are some things I can possibly do with this vacant lot.

It’s about 2500 sq feet, it’s shaped as a perfect triangle, and I’m open to all sorts of ideas of generating income.

Is it possible to upload a picture of the lot so you have a better idea of what I’m taking about?

Thank you for all the suggestions and support!

@Scott Mac

I’ve been thinking about the mini-farm idea quite a bit.

The only obstacle I see is that I live in Canada and we have painful winters so I have to build a structure that can withstand the elements.

Nonetheless, everything has a solution it’s just a matter of starting.

Do you have any suggestions on where I should start looking for guides on building “greenhouses”
