Has anyone started out investing already self-employed?

Hey BP, I’m a self employed full time musician getting into real estate investing, and was wondering has anyone else started out already technically “free” from a 9-5 job? How can/should/will this possibly change the way I should approach investing?

If your schedule is flexible, it should make it easier to find more properties, walk them and put offers in on them. One of the main issues with investing part time with a W-2 is not having enough time.
