What does Lis Pendens mean?
I have no intentions on buying as I'm still learning, however I saw a house on MLS with this on it
The house is bank owned and selling for $144,900

A LP means there is pending legal action involving a particular property. In a foreclosure, it's the first action, and is recorded in the public records. The example you cited makes no sense. I'm not sure what the listing agent is trying to communicate )previous mtg was $313K so this must be a hell of a deal?)
