Advice on networking

Ok this ones for the season investors that at one point had to start from the bottom no one helping them. After reading all about real estate investment I have to start by wholesaling. Mainly because I have no money nor capital. I just joined an investors club so that I can fulfill my next step which is networking. I have my 1rst meeting this week and I need your advice on how these conversations should go. I don't want to be laughed at if I say something awkward. Any help please I have decided to do this and I can't go back. Another thing will it matter if I am a female? This seems like if men are more involved doing this.

The biggest problem with new investors trying to network is forcing the issue. Sure you are new, and as Ned said, you need to be honest (people will be able to tell anyways), but I think the biggest problem is not being genuine. Even though this is business, it is still okay to talk to other people without being overly formal (I always hate when people seem so stiff).

Go in with an open mind, confidence and be YOU!
