Taxes for out of state LLCs

Hello everyone!

I recently formed an LLC in OH for a newly purchased duplex. I'm a little over halfway through the rehab and excited for my first BRRRR!

Being based in Denver and my question is: is it best practice to use an OH based CPA for the LLC's taxes? If so/not so, why?

Thanks,

John

You don't have to use an Ohio based CPA just someone who has experience with Ohio. There are many multi-state experienced CPAs out there. If it is a single member LLC it is pass through so nothing special involved but you do have to file Ohio taxes on Ohio income and pay any LLC business tax Ohio may impose on LLCs (not knowing Ohio I don't know if this is relevant).
