Just finished reading “How to invest in real estate”. Any tips on the first steps I should take towards real estate? Also, how much longer should I educate myself to start investing. I currently live aboard, but would like to know the market of Springfield, IL.

Hi there! I am so excited for you and your new journey. Charles Carillo is right! There is no definite about of education you need before starting but the idea that you will be constantly learning along the way is sooooo spot on. My suggestion is 2 things: 1. start adding yourself to the local RE groups in your specified area. Start reaching out and making some phone calls (If not phone calls since your abroad but it could FB messages, instagram DM's etc) 2.Narrow down what you want to match these criteria. Property type, market, price range, condition and profitability. These came from the bigger pockets Webinars. My husband and I also nailed down a profit in pocket requirement first and kind of worked backwards. This made my search so much clearer and the path became so much easier. Hope this helps!
