How strict is the owner occupancy for multi-family?

I am interested in house-hacking a duplex on 2 acres, but instead of living in the unit, I want to rent out both sides and continue living in our RV. Is this even possible or do I actually have to live in one side? Im flexible with both options, but just curious. Thanks!
