Legal agent for Rental license in Maryland

Hello everyone,

I'm a first time investor looking for some guidance. We are in the process of closing on a condo in the Montgomery county of MD. I know we have to apply for rental license to rent out the property, but I found out that we need to assign a legal agent if we do not reside in the state of Maryland.

We live in nearby VA and planning to self manage. We don't know anyone in MD that we want to designate to be the agent. I'm thinking there may be companies offering this kind of service for a fee. Does any out of state investors have experience with this? Any suggestions?

Thank you.
