Dallas- FortWorth Primary residence & Investment

Still in between convincing the fam about getting our own primary residence. However, I would love to start as an investor/partner in the real estate deal within dallas & nearby cities. Any ideas on what to do first? I know networking is the way to go, I'm a veteran so VA loan is sure but if the fam finally goes with us getting our own home then I may have to find another means of getting another type of loan for a property. What would be the safest way to start? As someone with a family? I can't house hack for sure. Would it be a good idea to get a property, do some fixes as needed, rent it all out or rent out room by room?

Any ideas on what works best in the DFW area? I need to get going in 2021!!!

@Jerrylyne Isaac

There’s a lot of missing pieces here about what you’re looking to do in real estate investing. Are you doing single family or multi? Are you wholesaling, flipping, or going to do rentals?

How would you bring value to other people? Do you have real estate investing knowledge? Do you have money? Do you have good credit? Do you have construction knowledge?

I’m sure people would love to connect if you tell them what you bring to the table!
