Remote Work - Want to move to a cheap state and house-hack

Hey there,

I currently work in California and am looking to invest in a rental property (initially maybe even live in it to house-hack).

I’m looking to move and work remotely from some cheaper state so I can personally manage a property and be near it. Long distance management isn’t for me, especially at this early point.

Would y’all have any good recommendations? Even having future neighbors from here would be amazing!
