I listened to a great BP podcast and the advice was this - study a purchase of sale, read it 7-10 times. After reading it all the way through many times, highlight the things you don't understand - then seek out a mentor to help you figure out those things. Great advice! So I've looked all around the internet and can't seem to find an Agreement of Sale aka purchase agreement. Any ideas? thank you!
@Michelle Verdugo you can reach out to a local title company or real estate agent. Both will have access. Asking an agent for the standard state contract would probably be your best bet. That is the contract all the agents will use for transactions and will be lengthier and in greater detail than a standard contract a title company may be able to share (depending on the title company).
@Blake Dailey I thought it was maybe something I could find on the ol' internet. thank you for the guidance. I suppose I should dig up my own from when I purchased my apartment.
@Michelle Verdugo , shoot me a PM.
That's great advice! You can find the purchase agreement on the TREC (Texas Real Estate Commission) website for free. I'm sure New York has something similar.
Best of luck!
@Cameron Tope Texas is a state I'm very interested in - thank you!
@Scott Wolf done!
