Is Working With Multiple Agents Discouraged?

Hey All,

I've had different agents give me different answers. Some agents say that working with multiple agents is dishonest, and wastes time of the agents you don't work with. Other agents have said that investors work with multiple agents all the time to get the best deals. I know that agents will, at some point, have you sign a buyer exclusivity agreement at some point in the process. But, what is acceptable before that? Is there a convention, or a socially accepted way of working with agents?

What do you do for a living?

I'm a Product Support Engineer for an enterprise network monitoring system.

Do you mind spending hours of time with me "doing what you do" and any hours billed will be paid to my other support engineer I use?
