In Need of a Mentor in North Dallas

Howdy!

I am brand new to the real estate investing scene. I have a science background = I know absolutely nothing about real estate other than what I had to go through to buy my house. I am very driven and motivated to get into this but I am in desperate need of someone I can shadow, ask questions and learn one-on-one from in order to best understand how to get started with the least amount of (costly) mistakes. I am located in north Dallas in Farmers Branch and would love for anyone who has been at this awhile to let me spend even minutes/day or a couple hours/week learning from you. I work full time but would be willing to spend evenings/weekends with you doing whatever it takes to get a practical education and foundation for my own business.

Welcome to Biggerpockets Hilary! The Dallas community on the site is quite active so you should be able to find a lot of helpful information about DFW. You unfortunately just missed a great group meet up last Friday but we will be having another meeting September 27th that you should come to meet a lot of the locals. Check out the thread for the most up to date information.
