Any Detroit investors in here?

I am a 24 year old looking to buy my first rental property. I am fortunate to be living with my older brother right now paying dirt cheap rent. I figure while I have this great living situation it would make a lot of sense to have tenants paying down a mortgage! Anyone a local Metro- Detroit investor that could give me some advice?
