Question about branding myself as a realtor

Mark Lynch
Posted

Hello!

I’m a newly licensed realtor and everything I’ve read has stressed the importance of creating my brand. I’ve been kicking around ideas to name my company and had a few questions. Does it have to just consist of an actual name ex: (John Doe Realtor) to really put your name out there. Or can it be something more creative like (Grapevine Properties)?? Also, can even use the words (properties, realty, real estate etc… ) at the end of potential name as realtor? Or are they reserved for actual brokerages.

Any guidance would be appreciated!

@Mark Lynch  Each state has their own rules.  Ask your broker.  I would also consult them prior to spending any money on signs, business cards, logos, print materials on the like to ensure you are complaint with state rules and their brokerage rules.   You might also access your state regulatory website to see if they have a list of basic guidelines.

I'm guessing you are in PA, so give this link a shot as a start.
