What is the most important question to ask a Realtor or Broker before hiring them to sell a property?

@David T. There's no question you are going to ask them to make your decision. What you want to do is look at where your property is located, what agents are actively working that area, and SELLING properties? Of course you want to know what their policy is on advertising etc. too. 

However; many times sellers are influenced by the number of Open Houses ads, etc. and don't understand that it's very rare for someone calling in on an ad call buys the property advertised. Also, ads are put in to drive ad calls, not sell properties necessarily. 

If you have to narrow it down to a question, I'd ask for references.
