In Boston RENTALS? or SALES?

Hi Everyone,

I'm a Real Estate agent in Boston. I want to get into sales, but the companies that I've worked for have always told me to focus on rentals, and the sales will come. I don't like the idea of this. I work during the day, so I will only have the weekends and evenings to practice real estate. Can I still make a living under these conditions? <---(opinions?) To those of you that know the Boston market; what is more profitable to focus on? rentals or sales? Will it be hard for me to make a decent living? What kind of market should I get into? For a 21 year old with ambition and character what should it be... rentals? sales?
